The Associate Managing Director reports to and works in close partnership with the Director/Principal Investigator and the management team to administer this large, technically complex and continuously evolving Center and the Institute. The Associate Managing Director serves as manager and central administrator for the new Institute, acting within the policies and procedures of the Institute, the University and the Beyond CCHF Cooperative Agreement, to achieve Institute Goals.

Specific responsibilities include Institute-wide coordination and planning of activities, financial management, budget preparation, facilities support, grant administration, human resources, and general administration. Emory University is the lead institution and the Institute will involve 15-20 other partner universities, and as such, the Associate Managing Director will need to serve as liaison between administrative and research personnel at the various partner institutions.
